About Amelia, owner & artist of Dangit USA:
Hi, I’m Amelia —engineer by day, small business owner by night. I run Dangit, a brand specializing in custom, quirky t-shirt designs inspired by mixing up metaphors and common sayings. We took something that happens all the time by accident (saying the wrong thing), did it intentionally (to be funny), and summed it all up with the short quip (“Dangit!”).
I grew up in Southern California, so wildfire season is more than just a headline for me. I’ve lived through multiple wildfires and seen first hand the evacuations, smoke filled skies, falling ash, and prolonged power outages they bring. Luckily for me though, wildfires have only ever been an inconvenience - one of those things we can just say “Dangit!” to and move on. But it’s understood that’s not the case for a significant amount of Angelenos following the devastation the 2025 wildfires brought. So for this collaboration we wanted to bring forward a design that helps raise funds for an issue that really did hit close to home, but in the typical way of the brand - by using humor and some mildly sad cartoon characters.
