Rebuild Ready: Prefab 101

Rebuild Ready Recap

On September 27, we gathered for our first Rebuild Ready event at the American Legion in the Palisades. We planned for 50-100 families and welcomed over 150—a clear sign of both the need and the strength of our community.

We’re especially thankful to the American Legion Palisades for opening their doors and giving us the space to come together.

Thanks to Friends of Prefab and our partners, families connected with vetted builders, insurance guidance, legal and mental health support, and financial resources.

This page brings those resources together so you can revisit them anytime. We’ll continue updating it so you always have a reliable place to turn for guidance after the event.

📩 Attention families! If you joined us at the event, watch for a short survey in your email.

Completing it helps us improve, and you’ll be entered to receive a Lil’ Lotus Kit ($50 in gas + grocery gift cards).

Please send your responses by Sunday, October 5. We’ll announce selections on Monday, October 6.

In love and solidarity,
Jacqui + the Lotus team 🐸

Community Support: We’d like to thank Anawalt Lumber, a family-owned business serving our community for over 100 years. They’re offering discounts for wildfire families as part of their commitment to helping neighbors rebuild.

Annie Barbour from United Policyholders sharing guidance on insurance and rebuilding, with extra support from the day’s furry friends.

These volunteers and partners made sure everything was cleaned up and cared for after families finished for the day.
